A number of members of Iranian regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS), Iraqi intelligence officers, and the agents of Iranian regime’s terrorist Qods supported by Iraqi forces entered Camp Ashraf on Monday and began filming in Ashraf’s evacuated buildings for propaganda against the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).
Some agents were holding microphones and professional cameras carrying Iranian regime’s state television logo. A number of agents had their faces covered so that their true identities would not be discovered. A number of agents had been involved in psychological torture of residents in the past three years.
Maj. Ahmed Khozayr, member of Iraqi intelligence who had played an active role in 2009 and 2011 massacre of Camp Ashraf residents, has briefed the MOIS and Qods Force agents.
On September 26, 2012, in a statement the Secretariat of the National Council of Resistance of Iran had announced that upon an order by Iranian regime’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, the Iranian regime’s Qods Forces and the regime’s embassy in Baghdad are involved in producing a movie to distort the facts on Camp Ashraf. A huge budget has been allocated for the movie.
This is a part of desperate campaign by the Iranian regime to counter the international condemnation of the crime committed by the Iranian regime and their agents in Iraq against the Ashraf residents, particularly following the opinion by the United Nations Working Group on Arbitrary Detention (July 2012) and the shocking testimony by a senior staff of UNAMI in congressional hearing in US Congress (September 2012) that has outraged the international community.
The MOIS agent had told those involved in making the disinformation movie: “the PMOI is trying to influence the youths so we have to go after making these movies otherwise they would badly influence the youths.”
