Call on the UN Secretary General, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and the U.S. Secretary of State for immediate return of Liberty residents to Ashraf
NCRI -At 5.50 pm Baghdad local time, Camp Liberty was attacked once again.
The camp and its obliterated trailers were shacken at daylight by explosions caused by at least 20 rocket blasts.
Human casualties have not been reported yet.
A considerable number of rockets hit the water canals at the southern part of the camp.
Since the previous attack on February 9, Iraqi government and Martin Kobler have not responded positively to any of the essential security demands of the residents’ protection such as return of the 17500 T-walls, transfer of the protective helmets and vests from Ashraf, transfer of the primary medical equipments, increase of the half sq Kilometer of the camp area and also the right to construction work.
In a criminal approach by the Iraqi government and Kobler, the defenceless residents have been intentionally kept unprotected.
The residents seek an immediate return to Ashraf which is much safer because of its larger area and its security facilities.
Mrs. Rajavi calls on the UN Secretary General, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and the US Secretary of State to take immediate measures in order to transfer Liberty residents to Ashraf.
