In recent days, a political advertisement has been aired on America’s major national television news networks, such as CNN and FOXNews. The television ad exposes the Iraqi government’s responsibility for the September 1 massacre of 52 Iranian dissidents and the kidnapping of seven others, all members of the principal opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), in Camp Ashraf.
Emphasizing that all members of MEK in Camp Ashraf were given written promise of protection by the United States, the ad calls on President Obama to “keep America’s word,” “Save the seven hostages” and “hold Iraq accountable” for the September 1 massacre and abduction in Camp Ashraf.
