A large number of cranes, trailers, trucks and cars have been stolen from Camp Ashraf and transferred to National Security headquarter in Baghdad
Stolen Ashraf’s residential trailers are used for deployment of Badr Organization terrorists on the road being constructed by the Iranian regime in al-Azim area
NCRI – The agents of Iraq’s National Security Advisor Faleh al-Fayyad, terrorists affiliated with Badr Organization and agents of the Iranian regime’s Qods Force continue to steal and loot property in Camp Ashraf belonging to the Iranian opposition, the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).
A large number of vehicles stolen from Ashraf, including cranes, trailers and trucks have been transferred to the headquarters of the National Security in Baghdad.
On December 15, agents of the terrorist Badr Organization stole at least 6 trailers and 6 trailer trucks from Camp Ashraf. They were used for deployment of their agents on a new road being constructed by the Iranian regime connecting Sheikh Shonafe (a village adjacent to Camp Ashraf in Diyala province) to the city of Samarra in Saladin province.
Subsequently Qasem Soleimani, head of the Iranian regime Qods Force and Hadi al-Ameri, head of Badr Organization, went to Camp Ashraf to closely monitor the progress of the construction of the road.
The road named ‘Al-Imamyn Al-Askaryn’ is being constructed to facilitate the occupation of large parts of Iraq by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards and its Qods Force.
In a statement published on November 15, 2014, the Secretariat of the National Council of Resistance of Iran had stated that, ‘On October 31, a group from the Iraqi National Security Advisor… went to Camp Ashraf with 50 flatbed trucks and loaded them with various vehicles’.
The systematic looting is continuing despite the fact that the September 5, 2013, joint plan by UNAMI and the US Embassy in Baghdad for the evacuation of Ashraf stipulates: “The GOI shall allow the residents to sell their property at any time”, “review the inventory of the property with the residents in the presence of the UN” and “shall safeguard and guarantee all Ashraf property”.
Also, Ms Elizabeth Jones, the then-US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, in a letter to Mrs Maryam Rajavi on 6 September 2013, supported the above plan and wrote that if the residents accept this plan ‘The United Nations will help facilitate the safeguarding of the property at Ashraf through your retention of a trusted local security firm. The US Embassy will do its utmost to support these efforts’.
Based on these guarantees, the last group of residents left Ashraf. However, in practice, none of the commitments were fulfilled and the residents have not been unable to sell any of their property.
Once again, the Iranian Resistance draws the attention of the US government and the United Nations to the systematic plunder of property in Camp Ashraf in breach of all agreements, and calls for immediate action to prevent the continuation of the plundering of the property, to return the stolen property, and make arrangements for the sale of residents’ property through their legal representative Senator Robert Torricelli.
