At 12:40 pm EST (19:40 pm local time) on Thursday October 29, 2015 at least 80 missiles slammed into Camp Liberty, where members of the main Iranian opposition group, the Mujahedin-e Khalq (PMOI, or MEK), have been residing since February 2012.
So far 23 residents, including at least one woman, were killed and dozens have been injured. 20 of them were slain in the camp. Three of the residents died due to severity of the injuries in a Baghdad hospital.
Some two dozen of the severely wounded have been taken to hospitals in Baghdad, Many of the trailers in the camp were on fire. All electricity in the camp was cut. Iranian-made Falagh missiles and 122 m Katyusha rockets were among the rockets that hit the camp.
According to some accounts and footage from the camp, there was serious fire in the camp and holes as deep as 7 feet and as wide as 12 feet are created as a result of the rocket attack.
