Issued by Secretariat of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), 3rd July 2023
The United States and Albania should clarify whether the MEK’s computers have been handed over to the Iranian regime.
Warning against any collaboration with the religious fascist executioners that would lead to the arrest, torture, and execution of the families, prisoners, and supporters of the MEK and the Iranian Resistance throughout the country.
Fars News Agency, affiliated with the IRGC, announced on July 3: “Sepehr Khalaji, head of the Government Information Council, stated on his social media page regarding the return of Monafeqin’s computers to the country: ‘Part of the hard drives and casings have been received.’ Khalaji added: ‘They are busy retrieving information, identifying operatives, and the destructive cores and blind spots.’ Khalaji also wrote about the results obtained regarding the recovery of computer data: ‘The results so far are promising.’
”In the past 10 days, the media and officials of the mullahs’ regime have continuously reported on the contacts between the “security apparatuses (of the regime) of Iran and countries such as Albania.” This requires a clear position from this government, and we hope that the American and Albanian authorities firmly deny and provide complete transparency and details.
If the shocking news of collaboration with the religious fascism ruling Iran against the MEK, and the transfer of a portion of the 213 seized computers and hard disks in the attack on June 20, 2023, which left one martyr and hundreds of wounded and injured MEK members, is true, it is a humanitarian catastrophe and a horrific violation of human rights in collaboration with the ruling religious fascism in Iran, leading to the arrest, torture, and execution of families, political prisoners, and supporters of the MEK and the Iranian Resistance throughout the country, as well as to the regime’s terrorist activities outside Iran. Undoubtedly, the responsibility lies squarely with the governments of the United States and Albania. Sharing any information about the MEK with the criminal regime in Iran, which has been condemned 69 times for human rights violations by the United Nations General Assembly and other international bodies, is an absolute red line and completely unacceptable, worthy of prosecution in international courts.
Yesterday (July 2), the government-affiliated Mehr News Agency, quoting official statement of the Ministry of Intelligence (MOIS), praised the Albanian police’s actions against the MEK and made a series of false accusations against the MEK regarding “intelligence-security contacts with European intelligence services” regarding the MEK’s activities in “various Western countries,” especially Albania. It also promised terrorism on the Europe’s soil, stating that “Iran is seriously pursuing terrorists outside its borders.
”Furthermore, according to Hamshahri Online newspaper on June 27t, Brigadier General Esmaeil Kowsari, a member of the regime’s parliamentary Security and Foreign Policy Commission, said: “For several months, there have been communications between the security apparatuses of Iran and countries such as Albania, and it has had very positive results.”
